Business Development Manager (Business Development)

Intro

Vertex Labs is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help scale our Business Development function as the company grows.

This role has plenty of room to grow as the company scales — we promote from within whenever we can.

You'll work closely with partners across the company, contributing to decisions that shape both the team and the product.

About the team

We believe in shipping iteratively, learning from real feedback, and cutting anything that doesn't serve the goal.

The team is a mix of senior and mid-level practitioners who collaborate daily and review each other's work closely.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close strategic partnership agreements
• Collaborate with product on joint go-to-market plans
• Identify and qualify new partnership opportunities
• Track partnership performance against targets
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential partners

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years in business development or partnerships
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Comfort working with ambiguity and competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to have

• Experience structuring revenue-share agreements
• Existing network within the target industry
• Track record of sourcing and closing strategic deals
