Westfield Labs is hiring a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a chance to make a direct, visible impact on how we build and support our product.

This role has plenty of room to grow as the company scales — we promote from within whenever we can.

You'll have a seat at the table early — your input will shape how this function operates as we grow.

About the team

Everyone on the Engineering team has a direct line to leadership — decisions get made quickly, without layers of approval.

Candidate Responsibilities

Improve build, test, and deployment pipelines
Own services end-to-end, from design to on-call support
Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
Mentor junior engineers through pairing and review

Candidate Profile

Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Solid grasp of version control workflows
Comfortable working across the full stack
A track record of shipping production software

Nice to have

Prior experience at an early-stage startup
Familiarity with observability tooling (logging, tracing, metrics)
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Exposure to CI/CD pipeline design
Open-source contributions
