Systems Administrator (IT Support)

Intro

Brookside Labs is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to help scale our IT Support function as the company grows.

You'll work closely with partners across the company, contributing to decisions that shape both the team and the product.

This role has plenty of room to grow as the company scales — we promote from within whenever we can.

About the team

Everyone on the IT Support team has a direct line to leadership — decisions get made quickly, without layers of approval.

The team is a mix of senior and mid-level practitioners who collaborate daily and review each other's work closely.

Candidate Responsibilities

• Evaluate and roll out new internal tooling
• Monitor systems and respond to alerts
• Resolve hardware, software, and network issues for staff
• Maintain internal IT documentation and runbooks

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years in an IT support or sysadmin role
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
• Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Nice to have

• Scripting experience (Bash or PowerShell)
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or similar)
• Experience with cloud identity providers (Okta, Azure AD)
